My name is Samantha McCarthy you can call me Sam. I am a 22 year old senior Digital Media Production Major with a Film and Media Studies Minor, which was completed in the fall of 2018. I have really enjoyed my courses here at Slippery Rock especially the courses like Publication Production, Digital Imaging and such. I grew up 45 minutes south of Slippery Rock in Butler Pa

where I went to Knoch High School. In the next few years after I graduate in the spring I would like to see myself living in Pittsburgh working for a digital media studio like 321Blink or even Animal, Inc. There I would have the freedom to work with clients on productions, video editing and creation as wells as get my name out in the business. And to one day be able to move to Colorado and progressively move further west and move into the film industry and film documentaries.

The Washington Post is the sixth-most-circulated newspaper in the United States and is based out of Washington D.C. It mainly focuses on national politics and the federal government. This publication leans more democratic than republican with a left center bias on their articles. I chose the Washington Post because the reporting is very factual and there is less likely to be any "fake news" because of it.

I chose Yahoo News because I, like most, always forgets that Yahoo is not only a web browser and electronic mail service but it is also a source for news and has been since the late 90s. Like the Washington Post, Yahoo News is primarily left-center bias. According to Media Bias/Fact Check Yahoo News has yet to fail a fact check therefore the news Yahoo reports on and releases to the public is correct.
